Yo-yo is a toy that has been known to mankind for a long time. Once it was even used as a kind of weapon. The toy consists of two hemispheres (discs) connected by an axis; a thread is attached to the base of this axis. Instructions
Step 1
To get started, buy a yo-yo string (rope) from the store where you purchased the toy. The set usually contains about 100 multi-colored ropes. Take the rope in your hand and, according to your height, calculate its required length. The optimal length of the thread is equal to the distance from the navel (middle of the abdomen) to the floor plus 10 cm, of which 2 cm is for the attachment loop, and 8 cm is for the thread to hook onto the hand while playing.
Step 2
The next step is the formation of a loop. To do this, make a small ring, fold the previously measured 8 cm of widow's thread and tie a self-tightening double knot in the middle. The result is a loop. Cut off the remaining short end of the rope.
Step 3
Put the loop on the middle of the finger (better than the middle) of the "working hand" (right or left), then tighten it so that only a small loop remains, which is fixed during the game on the finger.
Step 4
Now start attaching the yo-yo string. To do this, unwind the toy, take the opposite end of the thread and twist it slightly in your hand so that it delaminates into two threads. Slide (slide) the resulting loop over the yo-yo bearing.
Step 5
Well, here's the yo-yo string tied, now assemble the toy and try it out in action. Some players sometimes twist the string around the bearing axis several times, resulting in a double loop that provides more recoil.
Step 6
To wind the thread, place your finger between the hemispheres of the yo-yo and make 1 turn of the thread so that it goes around your finger. After that, move your finger, with the thread wrapped around it, and make four regular turns. Then remove your finger and wind the thread further. Please note that if you wind the thread clockwise, thereby increase the twist, if on the contrary, loosen it.
Step 7
To play, hold the toy in your hand with your palm up. The string should extend from the middle finger and wrap around the yo-yo on top, otherwise you will not be able to throw the toy well.
