Biography of Lyudmila begins in 1941 in the city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. There the Chursin family fled from the war from the Pskov village of Gruzdovo. Her parents were in the military, and Lyudmila spent all her childhood traveling around the Soviet Union - from the Arctic to the Caucasus. At the end of the military career, the parents returned to the Pskov region, and from there the young entrant went to conquer Moscow.
After college, Chursina was accepted into the troupe of the Vakhtangov Theater, where she was first engaged in extras, then two significant roles in the performances followed: "New acquaintances" - the role of Nastya and "Richard III" - the role of Anna.

At the age of 20, Lyudmila began acting in films. She says that the very first film "When the trees were big" was remembered by the fact that she was on the same set with Yuri Nikulin, Leonid Kuravlev and Vasily Shukshin - this is not forgotten.

Finally, the moment came when Chursina was invited to the main role - the proud and strong Daria in the "Don Story" directed by Fetin. After this tape, all the copper pipes "collapsed" on Lyudmila, and the director of the film became her husband. Such is the fate of the actor: if she smiles, then in all thirty-two teeth.
Another significant film for Chursina is "Zhuravushka" and the role of Martha Lunina. It was hard work, multifaceted, because in a little over an hour the actress had to live the whole life of her heroine.

And in 1984 he finally received an offer of a role that he had dreamed of all his life: the play "The Idiot", the role of Nastasya Filippovna (Moscow Theater of the Soviet Army). For this Chursina moved to live in Moscow.

As far as can be judged from various television programs, Lyudmila Alekseevna is a very restrained and tactful person. This is probably why she lived with her first husband, director Fetin, for 17 years, although this marriage cannot be called happy - Vladimir was addicted to alcohol. In an interview, the actress said that once patience ran out, and she went nowhere: she rented a corner from friends, interrupted until she resolved the issue of housing. So she left and returned 13 times, then left for good.
The second husband of Lyudmila Chursina was oceanologist Vladimir Petrovsky, with whom they lived together for 2 years and parted. They lived with their third husband Igor Andropov for 4 years, but this marriage also fell apart. Lyudmila Alekseevna explains these failures by the fact that two strong adults can rarely adapt to each other, because their views, ideas, goals and habits have already been formed.
This year Lyudmila Alekseevna turns 77 years old, but she is still busy in the cinema and in the theater, plays a lot. And he is not going to end his creative career.
