Surely every fisherman in his heart dreams of catching the biggest fish in order to be proud of an unusual catch and stand out among his fellow fishermen. Despite the fact that catching large fish species is not easy and they are not so common, there are ways to help the fisherman, with due diligence, catch the long-awaited prey - for example, a large perch, the length of which is more than 40 cm.

Step 1
Before you are going to fish for perch, find out from your fellow fishermen who know the reservoir you need, whether such fish are found there, and what kind of bait they prefer. Once you have gathered the information you need about what time of year and where to catch large bass, and what bait they tend to bite on, you will increase your chances of catching fish.
Step 2
The best time to catch large perches is the second half of September. Keep track of the calendar - try not to miss the dates you need, and also find out on what dates last year there were cases of catching large perches.
Step 3
You should not catch perch with too large bait - despite its size, this fish prefers bait of 5 to 10 cm give preference to deep fishing, lowering the bait to the very bottom. It is best to use small dead fish as bait.
Step 4
Use lures that are heavy enough so that they do not rise directly to the surface, but remain in contact with the bottom for a while. Reel in the line slowly, or plumb the perch from the boat by raising and lowering the lure, affecting the large perches. If they see the bait coming down regularly and then going up, they will come up with it and grab it.
Step 5
If you spot a school of small perches, try to catch a large perch on the outskirts of the school - as a rule, these fish stay there, without swimming into the center of the school. Having caught the first large perch, start catching the next one - usually in the place of appearance of a large perch there are always its relatives of the same size.
