Remember how you were told in childhood: "Matches for children are not a toy!" And you chuckled softly: "And the toy is for adults." So, now you can play enough with matches without making fires and without setting fire to everything in your path! Using ordinary matches, you can create a real work of art.
It is necessary
- - thick paper or cardboard;
- - ruler;
- - pencil;
- - matches;
- - knife;
- - glue;
- - file.
Instructions
Step 1
Before getting started, cut off the match heads. Draw a 7x7 cm square on paper or cardboard.
Step 2
After that, draw an octagon with sides of 3 cm inside the square. Now you need to build the base of the tower: to do this, glue the matches first on the 4 sides of the octagon (top, bottom, right and left sides), then on the inclined sides (these matches should lie between the first four). This will give you the base of the tower with protruding "logs" - the width of the log is 1 match.
Step 3
Make a second row of logs. To do this, just like at the base, long matches are first glued (on straight sides), and then between them - short ones, on inclined ones. Continue in the same sequence; you need to gain the height of the walls - 20 rows. Make sure all walls are level, especially from the outside. For strength, be sure to glue all the joints from the inside with glue.
Step 4
Glue one match at a time to the joints of the matches from the inside (8 in total). Now you need to make the second tier of the tower, for this glue one match on each side, but not to the top, but to the outer side. Thus, the top row of walls will be 1 match wider.
Step 5
When the glue is dry, cut off the protruding parts and trim the end with a file.
Step 6
Build the second tier of the tower. To do this, glue another 9 rows of matches to the existing base. Please note that, as with the creation of the first tier, the matches should overlap. When you build the second tier with a height of 5 matches, make windows: for this, instead of a solid match, use 2 shorter pieces. Glue them so that there are gaps in the wall. The height of the windows should be equal to 2 rows of matches.
