Match houses are a long-standing toy for both children and adults. It is very easy to assemble such houses - to assemble one house you will not need anything but five boxes of matches and one coin. Such houses are assembled without glue, and based on the technique of their assembly, you can come up with a lot of new ideas for matchbox buildings. We will tell you how to assemble a simple matchbox in this article.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a CD box or book to create a work surface. You will also need a two-ruble coin, and of course matches.
Step 2
Lay the work surface on a flat table and place two matches on it parallel to each other, with the heads pointing in the same direction. The distance between the matches should be slightly less than the length of one match.
Step 3
Then, on top of two matches, fold a sheet of eight matches lying next to each other. After that, make another of the same layer of eight matches, directing them perpendicular to the previous layer.
Step 4
After creating the second row of matches, begin to form a well, consisting of seven levels, placing the heads of the matches in a circle. Stack the matches on top of each other in parallel until you get a square well.
Step 5
Place eight matches next to each other on the roof of the well. On top of this layer, lay six more matches perpendicularly. Place a coin on the topmost layer of matches and press it down with your finger.
Step 6
Now, without removing your finger from the coin, start sticking matches vertically with their heads up in the corners of the house. Stick in four matches - according to the number of corners. After you fix the corners, stick vertical matches around the perimeter of the house, strengthening the walls. The matches of the lower row can be gently pushed apart in the process.
Step 7
Squeeze the house on all sides, so as not to deform it, and remove the coin from the upper tier. Press the vertical matches along the perimeter of the house inward. After that, turn the house over and place it on the "foundation" of the heads of vertical matches.
Step 8
Insert vertical matches on each side of the house to form the walls. Then lay the same rows of horizontal matches on all four sides perpendicular to them. For vertical matches, the heads should be directed upwards, and for horizontal matches - in a circle.
Step 9
To create a roof, insert additional matches in the corners of the house and slightly push the vertical matches of the walls from below so that they rise above the upper tier. Place the matches for the roof deck perpendicular to the top layer. Then lay a new layer of roof matches perpendicularly. Press down on the matches to create the appearance of shingles.
