To create an autumn rosehip twig, you will need to buy self-hardening polymer clay. It won't take much time to create it, but the twig will turn out just like a real one! Bright and beautiful, eye-catching!

It is necessary

  • - polymer clay;
  • - main stack;
  • - latex glue;
  • - stack with a 3 mm ball;
  • - floristic wire No. 26 (green) and No. 28 (white);
  • - brown floral ribbon;
  • - oil paints (yellow and red cadmium, burnt umber, natural sienna, herbal greens);
  • - manicure scissors with curved and straight blades;
  • - brushes;
  • - pliers, twine, superglue, rosehip leaf mold and acrylic gloss varnish.

Instructions

Step 1

Sepals. Take wire # 26, prepare the required number of wires with loops 7-8 cm long. Knead the oil paint into the clay. The author of the homemade sepals made different colors, mixing umber, greens and natural sienna in different proportions.

Roll out a piece of clay in the form of a thin long drop, cut it lengthwise into uneven pieces with scissors. Then cut the smaller part into 2 more, the larger part into 3. You get 5 sepals. They must be rolled out with the sharp part of a regular stack.

Use scissors to cut the teeth that have curved blades. Shape the sepals (fold with the main stack, and roll some with a stack with a ball). Make some of the sepals stick together completely. Lubricate wire # 26 with latex glue, insert the base of the sepals into the center. Hide the loop inside the clay, spread it a little over the wire.

When the number of sepals you need is ready, leave to dry.

Step 2

Leaves. Use a wire wrapped in snow-white (green shines through polymer clay). For the leaves, make the loops flatter. Stir in some red and yellow paint into the clay. Roll it in the form of a drop, wrinkle it with your fingers, giving the shape of a leaf.

Roll the sheet with the main stack either in the transverse or in the longitudinal direction. The base turned out to be thick, and the edge of the leaf is quite thin. Scissors will help you adjust the shape of the leaf.

Cut the cloves along the edge of the sheet. Print the sheet onto the mold.

Step 3

Roll the edge of the sheet in a stack, making it thinner and wavy. Make a groove at the base of the sheet (1 cm) with the sharp part of the stack. Coat the wire with glue, put it in the groove. Clamp on both sides, place the attachment with a stack. Move the clay down 3 mm to form a petiole.

Let the leaves dry. Then roll the wires around the leaves. Roll out a long clay sausage, coat the wire with glue, attach to the clay. Roll the formed petiole between your fingers.

Step 4

Berries. Knead the yellow and red cadmium into the clay. It took a lot of paint, otherwise you won't get the bright red color characteristic of rosehip berries. Take a piece of clay with a diameter of 1, 5 cm, roll it out in the form of a droplet. Make a groove in the berry with the sharp part of the stack.

Glue the base of the sepals with glue, glue it into the groove. Coat the joint with a stack moistened with plain water.

You can make some of the berries with fallen sepals. Roll the drop with a blunt end. Fasten on the wire, make a depression with a stack, then pry the clay along the edges with the sharp part of the stack and pull it up, forming a ragged edge. Roll the legs of the berries in the same way as you did with the leaves, only now add natural sienna to the clay.

Step 5

Stamens. Cut the twine into pieces of 5-7 mm, glue to the middle of the berries with latex glue, pressing with a stack. Proceed in the same way with berries without sepals, and with them.

Step 6

Toning. Proceed to this step after all parts of the twig are completely dry. Take burnt umber and red cadmium. Apply paint to the edge of the sheet, blend with a brush. Draw specks and dots that are characteristic of drying leaves. Tint the stamens and sepals with burnt umber. And cover the rose hips themselves with a glossy varnish.

Step 7

The most interesting thing is the assembly. Use the tape to collect the twigs with leaves and berries. Arrange a leaf with a long petiole, then attach the leaves with short petioles to the side. Wrap the berries as you like.

Roll the legs of the resulting twigs with brown clay. To do this, you need to roll out the sausage of the required length, make a depression with a stack, grease with glue and glue it to the branch behind. The twig must be covered with clay on all sides. Roll two branches in this way.

Step 8

Do not wait until the clay is completely dry, glue both branches at once using super glue. Everything is ready, such a twig can serve as a hair clip, just fix it on a special clip!
