A major is a sharp key, since with a key there are three signs in it - F-sharp, C-sharp, G-sharp. The main chord of this key is the A major triad, denoted by the Latin letter "A" and consisting of the notes A, C sharp, E. There are several ways to play a guitar chord, with or without a barre.
Instructions
Step 1
A major without barre is played with the following fingers on the following strings: the first finger is on the second fret of the second string, the third is on the second fret of the third string, the second is on the second fret of the fourth string. Otherwise, you can imagine the chord in several planes: strings No. 2, 3, 4 are clamped, only the second frets are clamped, the order of the fingers is: 1, 2, 3. When the chord is played, the notes sound (from bottom to top): E, A, E, la, c sharp, mi. Make sure that the fingers of your left hand are exactly in the center of the fret, clamping the string tightly enough.
Step 2
It is convenient to strike in A major with a barre at the 5th fret, where the extreme notes produce the appropriate sound (A). In this case, you need to clamp the following strings: the third, fourth, fifth. The frets are clamped (respectively) sixth, seventh, seventh. Pinch the fingers: second, third, fourth. To summarize, the third string is clamped with the second finger at the sixth fret, the fourth with the third finger at the seventh fret, and the fifth with the fourth finger at the seventh fret. The position is similar to the E major position without the barre.
Step 3
Make sure that the first finger clamping the barre is firmly in the middle of the fifth fret, does not release the pressure on any string, otherwise false sounding, deafness and rattling may occur. The rest of the fingers should also be exactly in the middle of the frets being clamped. If it is impossible to clamp a full barre, you can take a small one. With it, the fifth and sixth strings do not need to be clamped (the first finger lies perpendicular to the first four strings).
