The tour schedule of Denis Matsuev is planned for years to come. He gives concerts every day in different parts of the world and spends many hours on flights. Finding time for your personal life with such a busy schedule is difficult. Denis did it only closer to 40 years old.
Matsuev hid his chosen one from the public for a long time. In numerous interviews, he masterly avoided questions about his personal life. Denis only noted that his heart is not free, but he did not name his beloved.
The secret was revealed anyway. Fans of the pianist noticed that he was often accompanied by the prima of the Bolshoi Theater Ekaterina Shipulina on tour. The press quickly picked up this information. Soon the couple stopped hiding the relationship, but still does not indulge the public with the details of their personal life.
It is known that Matsuev and Shipulina have known each other for a long time. Their first meeting took place at a social event. The relationship between the pianist and the ballerina was secret for a long time, but it developed rapidly. In November 2016, Denis and Catherine had a daughter. They did not advertise such a significant event for them. Only six months later, Matsuev stunned fans with this news. The girl was named Anna.
The couple does not publish joint pictures with their daughter. The girl's exact date of birth is also hidden. It is only known that the pianist's daughter literally from the first days of her life began to be interested in classical music. According to the happy father, she is crazy about the compositions of Igor Stravinsky. A little later, Anna also began to conduct with her hands to the beat when Denis sat down at the piano.
Matsuev began to introduce his daughter to music early on purposefully. He is convinced that every child, along with the alphabet and numbers, should get acquainted with the notes. In his opinion, they broaden the horizons and thanks to this, a certain part of the brain begins to develop in a completely different way.
The appearance of his daughter completely changed Matsuev's life and worldview. According to the pianist, he does not feel at all that he is over forty. He is full of strength and emotions. At the same time, Denis regrets that he did not know the joy of fatherhood earlier.
In raising their daughter, the star couple are helped by their parents. Denis noted that grandparents are crazy about their granddaughter and buy up huge quantities of children's things to please her.
In an interview, Matsuev repeatedly complained that, due to numerous concerts, he spends very little time with his daughter. He also admitted that it was only with her birth that he began to regret the richness of his touring schedule.
Will there be a wedding
Even after the birth of their daughter, Catherine and Denis did not legalize the relationship. It's all the fault of the same tour schedule of Matsuev, scheduled for the next five years. Denis cannot cancel concerts, because he considers it disrespectful to his audience. During his many years of career, he has not canceled any of his performances. The pianist is proud of this and often notes in interviews.
The spiteful critics believe that Matsuev is deliberately delaying the wedding and that the matter is not at all in the schedule. In their opinion, the pianist simply does not want to part with his bachelor status and get bogged down in the family routine. In response, Matsuev confidently stated that the wedding with Catherine will definitely be. He even gave an approximate date. According to him, the celebration should take place in 2021.
