Recently, some elements of the national dress of Ukrainians have come into fashion, so many are trying to sew on their own any detail from the national Ukrainian wardrobe.
It is necessary
- - rough fabric;
- - woolen fabric;
- - ribbons;
- - threads for embroidery.
Instructions
Step 1
Use a coarse fabric to sew a shirt. Make two patterns for the collarless shirt. Sew both parts, and gather the collar into a small gather or sew on top. Make the shirt sleeves wide, make the cuffs. Embroider national patterns on the hem of the shirt and its sleeves. Decorate in this way the places where the shirt sleeves meet the shoulder.
Step 2
Make a pattern of a jersey (belt) from three pieces of unpainted or black fabric, from which you get a strip of fabric 3 m wide and 60-70 cm long.
Step 3
Make two Ukrainian spare tires of different colors to serve as a holiday belt. One spare tire will cover the back of the torso, the other as an apron. Make it out of a solid red, green, or blue woolen fabric.
Step 4
From the checkered fabric, make a belt called the plakhta. Embroider it with silk or woolen threads with a national ornament.
Step 5
Make a pattern and sew a straight skirt out of woolen striped fabric.
Step 6
Make a square shawl that is tied at the back and ends down. Alternatively, sew a lightweight, soft beanie from a piece of fine fabric with an undercut at the forehead. Make an undercut so that small gathers form on the forehead. Decorate the hat with embroidery.
Step 7
To make the costume whole, make a wreath of artificial or natural flowers, decorated with a ribbon.
