The plot of the game "Space Rangers" is based on the confrontation between the five races of the Galactic Commonwealth, and an unknown life form called the Klisans. The player is assigned the role of a ranger who has entered the service of the commonwealth. Its main task is to save the Galaxy from the Klisans.

Step 1
At the beginning of the game, select one of the proposed races. You have five options. Humans are a race, the main advantages of which are the ability to conduct good diplomatic negotiations and trade activities. Maloks are strong warlike humanoids with low intelligence. The Faeyans are a race of humanoid scientists who are responsible for all major discoveries and research. Gaalians are the most developed and peaceful race, interested in art and philosophy. Pelengi are patrons of piracy. Cunning and selfish creatures, similar to multi-armed amphibians.
Step 2
Choose a character backstory that will affect the starting conditions of the game. There are such options as warrior, mercenary, merchant, corsair, pirate.
Step 3
Determine the difficulty level you would like to play. There are only four of them in Space Rangers. They differ in the starting amount of money, the size of the rewards, the danger of the klisans, and the frequency of the appearance of black holes.
Step 4
The main process of the game is turn-based. The exception is fighting in hyperspace and black holes. To make your move, choose the trajectory of the ship, choose an enemy to attack, or highlight the items you would like to take aboard.
Step 5
You can also change the location of equipment on the ship, chat with other ships or activate the found artifact. Then press the end-of-turn button. After that, all the actions that you have done will be displayed on the screen. Each move is equal to one game day.
Step 6
The ranger can land on various planets and space stations. After landing, tabs appear in the game interface, indicating one of the places on the planet. These can be shops, government buildings, hangars. On planets and stations, you can trade, repair your ship, receive assignments and find out the latest news.
Step 7
As tasks, the player is offered quests. You can usually get them from a government that treats you well. Depending on the result of completing the quest, the attitude may improve or worsen. Having taken the quest, you must complete it within the specified time frame and return to the customer with a report. As a reward, you can get money, equipment, artifacts, and more.
Step 8
While within one system, you can choose directions to fly to another system. Fly up to the border and go into hyperspace. In it, you can find "clumps" similar to black holes. Entering them, you find yourself in the arcade mode of the game. Control the ship using the keyboard and attack opponents avoiding traps.
