The popular multiplayer game World of Tanks has won the hearts of millions of fans around the world. Many players do not bother changing the default settings of the game, although this can significantly speed up the performance of the game application.
Instructions
Step 1
The main settings of World of Tanks relate to graphics. Naturally, players want to see the most colorful picture on the screen, but the performance of the computer's graphics processor is not enough to display the game at the highest settings. However, there are several ways to significantly increase the number of frames per second to ensure the necessary smoothness of the image, while the loss in quality can be almost negligible.
Step 2
First you need to determine the graphics capabilities of your computer, as well as find out what frame rate is acceptable for you. Please note that a standard movie is shown at 24 frames per second, and 40-50 frames per second is considered a good indicator for a comfortable game.
Step 3
In the game settings window, which can be accessed from the main menu, there are several tabs, including "Graphics". This tab allows you to change many parameters that affect image quality and performance. But first, it is better to use the "Auto-detect" button, after clicking on which the game client will try to independently determine the optimal parameters for the best performance. Save changes and go into battle.
Step 4
If you are satisfied with both the quality and the speed, you can play with these settings. If the number of frames per second is too low, try gradually decreasing minor parameters in the graphics settings window, such as "Quality of trees", "Quality of landscape", "Quality of lighting" and others, until you reach a compromise between picture and speed. For a comfortable game, in principle, only the maximum "Rendering range" is enough. This parameter affects the distance at which your tank will see in-game objects, so it is better to have the maximum range.
Step 5
In addition, the game settings allow you to select the volume and sound quality, enable or disable the game in the "Encounter" and "Assault" modes, as well as customize the appearance of the sight and display various game information, such as the names of tanks, the number of points of strength, tank type icons and player names. Finally, the "Controls" tab allows you to remap keys for more comfortable tank control and shooting, as well as assign hot keys for using additional equipment and consumables.
