The mill is one of the oldest types of structures. Her images are present both in peaceful pastorals and in gloomy landscapes. Van Gogh, Constable, Kinkade - these are just a few of the names of famous painters who loved to paint mills. It is not so difficult for a novice artist to depict this structure, because the mill has few components.
It is necessary
- - album sheet;
- - pencil;
- - eraser.
Instructions
Step 1
Sketch the general outline of the mill with a pencil. In the middle of the sheet, draw a narrow, vertical rectangle. This will be the base of the mill, the future building. At the top of the rectangle, draw a point through which draw two straight lines that intersect with each other at right angles. Thus, depict the blades.
Step 2
Draw the details of the mill building. Divide the rectangle into two parts: the upper one is of small height and the lower one, which widen a little towards the base. Cover the figure with a peaked roof - draw a triangle so that its edges slightly extend beyond the walls of the building.
Step 3
Draw the entrance to the mill at the bottom of the building - draw a small arch. Then draw a small window at the top of the rectangle. Position it slightly off the centerline. Lay bricks over the entire area of the lower part of the rectangle - draw small shapes that resemble ovals. Please note that they need to be positioned clearly along horizontal lines, imitating brickwork.
Step 4
Draw in the details of the blades of the mill. Draw the attachment point in the form of a dark small circle located in the middle of a slightly larger circle. Draw each of the four straight segments of the blades in the form of two lines widened towards their outer part and more narrowed towards the point of intersection. Now draw small cross sections between the boundaries of the blades, as if depicting a ladder. Maintain the same distance between the lines.
Step 5
Paint the mill. Draw a wide strip along the base of the building at the bottom of the rectangle to represent the shaded area. Paint each brick with the same light color. Make the entrance and window dark. Paint the upper part of the building in burgundy, and walk over the dried paint in yellow, drawing stripes - light reflections. Divide the roof into three unequal parts with rays. Color them in different shades to enhance the effect of the play of light and shadow. Make the blades solid.
