There are many stationery items sold in stores, but they are all the same. The same type of stationery sets can be found in any office and home. Let's make a bright and custom pencil cup.
For work, you will need what is in every house:
1.a tin can of instant coffee (you can have a glass of suitable shape and size, if you wish), 2.the threads that you have left from knitting, embroidery (and after all, someone throws out tiny balls that remain after such needlework …), 3. transparent glue, for example "Moment-crystal", 4. Needles of the correct size (the size of the needles depends on the thickness of the threads available).
What do we do:
1. Measure the circumference of the base of the can and its height - this is the width and length of the future knitting.
2. Knit a rectangular fabric with the front stitch, tying the multi-colored pieces of thread to each other so that they are randomly located and the knitting is as colorful as possible. If you do not like the front surface, you can use the "stocking knitting" method, boucle or other dense pattern.
3. Sew the linked rectangle to create a tube that is the same height as the can.
4. Pull the knitted cover over the jar and glue the top and bottom of the knit to the jar. Wait until dry.
Attention! The dimensions of the resulting knitted rectangle should be slightly larger than the size of the can, so that the edges of the can are not visible from above and below.
By the way, pay attention to this subtlety: if you want to knit a canvas with an openwork pattern (with holes), you need to put thick colored paper or fabric between the jar and the knitted cover, otherwise the jar will look ugly through the pattern.
