Not a single self-respecting pirate at the carnival can do without a metal earring in the ear, a hat, a bright neckerchief and, of course, an eye patch. In addition, the costume can come in handy not only during the holiday, but also when you decide to play pirates. It doesn't take much work to make the bandage.
It is necessary
- - pattern,
- - material,
- - beads,
- - threads,
- - a needle,
- - elastic band or ribbon.
Instructions
Step 1
To make a pattern, you will need a simple pencil, eraser, album sheet and scissors. Draw a suitable eyecup on thick paper. Cut it out with scissors.
Step 2
You will need three pieces of heavyweight fabric in the color you like best and to match the suit. The bandage does not have to be black. Wash, dry and iron the prepared shreds. Place the pattern on one of them from the wrong side, circle it, if the material is dark, along the contour with a small piece of dry soap with thin edges. Cut with scissors. Do the same with the remaining pieces of material.
Step 3
Place the prepared eyecup pieces on top of each other and sew very neatly with a cover seam. Make sure that no knots are visible on the front side and the ends of the threads do not stick out.
Step 4
You need to sew two small metal rings to the finished part in order to thread a braid or thin elastic band through them, which you will tie around your head. If rings are not available, you can sew the ends of the strings directly to the edges of the eyecup.
Step 5
Now you can start decorating the pirate headband with embroidery and feathers. Determine if the entire outer surface of the eyecup will be beaded or only partially. What pattern do you want to embroider. If you are embroidering a design, first transfer it to the fabric of the bandage.
Step 6
If you are heading to a masquerade, disco or an unusual date, then the pirate girl can decorate the bandage with fine feathers. To do this, drip glue onto the space that remains between the seam stitches, and slide the ends of the feathers under one of the layers of fabric. Wait for the glue to dry.
Step 7
Put on the bandage, check if it is comfortable for you, adjust the length of the band and the pressure of the bandage on the eye.
