Step 1
Take the plastic hoop. Metallic ones are not used in rhythmic gymnastics. Select a ribbon. It should be in harmony with the performance costume. It is best to combine ribbons of two or three colors. Such a winding looks richer and more interesting. The width of the tape should be no more than 2 cm. Otherwise, folds will appear.
Step 2
You can alternate the ribbons when wrapping each quarter or decorate each half with your own color. There is an option for a complex winding - to alternate shades every 10 cm. In any case, you will have to fix each color segment with tape. There is another option. Wrap the entire hoop with a ribbon of one color, and spirally a ribbon of a different color on top. Choose a ribbon of thick fabric. Such decoration will give weight to the hoop, and after the throw, it will fall to the place planned by the athlete. A light hoop, on the other hand, can glide and fly wherever it pleases.
Step 3
Take the tape and tape the end of the tape to the hoop. If it is self-adhesive, just fix the tape. Guide the winding at an angle of 45 degrees. Wind tight and tight. Make sure that one turn overlaps the other by less than 2 mm. Wrap with one hand and hold the wrapped tape with the thumb of the other hand.
Step 4
When the hoop is wrapped, protect the tape from dirt and damage. Take a thin tape and wrap the shell over the tape. Do not wind it at the same angle as the tape. Better to maintain an angle of 50-60 degrees. Perform the last turn with an overlap on the first two. It will be safer this way. The tape should not line up with the tape. Then, if necessary, it will be possible to change it. Apply a protective layer if you are sure that the decorative layer is flawless.
Step 5
When the hoop is wrapped, weigh it. It is best to use an accurate scale, where the weight is reflected in the gram. There are weight standards that the projectile must meet.
Step 6
After finishing work, lay the hoop horizontally. Store it in this position only. Then you will be sure that the projectile will not deform.
