In order to ensure a good catch of crucian carp in the autumn months, it is necessary to prepare the right bait. In the composition of such bait, there should not be too many nutrients so that the crucian carp's appetite is also enough for the bait.

The best bait for crucian carp in autumn
The main thing that an angler should take care of, who decided to try his luck in crucian fishing in the fall, is to prepare an appropriate bait, which can be used both when fishing with a feeder and when fishing with an ordinary float rod. Unlike summer fishing, crucian carp should be fed in the fall once a day - in the morning.
The composition of bait for fishing with a float rod:
- sunflower cake - 50 grams;
1/3 cup crushed small seashells
- 20-30 grams of dry daphnia (this ingredient can be purchased in stores that sell food for aquarium fish);
- sugar vanillin - on the tip of a knife.
In order to form balls of bait that do not collapse when hitting the surface of the water, you can use ordinary clay.
The composition of the bait for fishing with feeder tackle:
- sunflower cake - 100 grams;
- bread crumbs - 50 grams;
- oatmeal - 50 grams;
- bran - 50 grams;
- shredded hemp - 50 grams;
- chopped peanuts - 50 grams.
It is important to know that autumn fishing for crucian carp can be much more effective if you add chopped maggot or worm to the bait. To add color to the bait, food colors can be added to its composition, and for a richer smell, you can add some dried dill or coriander.
To give the bait a delicious aroma, you can add a few drops of essential oil to its composition: aniseed, garlic, hemp, laurel or dill. In order not to scare off the fish with a too rich aroma, the essential oil should be added to the complementary food in 2-3 drops.
Some features of catching crucian carp in the autumn months
Unlike summer fishing, in the fall, crucian carp can peck intensively closer to noon and the nibble, as a rule, completely stops until three to four o'clock in the evening. Best of all, crucian carp is caught in autumn in clear weather, and if it is windy and cloudy outside, then the chances of a fisherman becoming the owner of a good catch are noticeably reduced.
When fishing for crucian carp in the autumn months (however, as with fishing any other freshwater fish), only thin fishing line should be used. Best of all, crucian carp bites in the fall at depths of 3-5 meters. The most optimal bait is a red worm, maggot or flavored "mastyrka".
