Instructions

Step 1

First, a few words about the general structure of a classic bow. It consists of a handle to which the shoulders are attached, and the bowstring is already pulled over them. The shoulders are usually made of several layers of glued wood. The bowstring consists of several strong threads. The winding on the string prevents it from abrasion and tearing. The archer is advised to wear a gaiter to protect the forearm and a fingertip to protect the fingers from injury.

Step 2

So with the details in mind, start assembling the bow by screwing your shoulders onto the handle. There are special grooves in the handle, in which the shoulders fit tightly in order to avoid their displacement during the shooting process. Secure the shoulders with screws that must be screwed into the threaded grooves located on the handle.

Step 3

Attach the shelf for the handle. This is a special boom support and is often used by beginner athletes. The shelf is attached to the bow handle and protects the arrow from damage and deviations from the course. Glue the shelf in such a way that the tendril on which the arrow is held at the moment of firing is below the hole for screwing in the plunger. The plunger is designed to adjust the boom throw in the horizontal direction perpendicular to the shot. It is he who allows the arrow to fly smoothly, especially at a long distance.

Step 4

Pull the bowstring. Place the string ring over the lower shoulder of the bow. Then turn the bowstring 4-6 turns clockwise around its axis. Thus, the bowstring is adjusted to the length required for shooting. The bowstring is placed in an elongated groove on the shoulder. The groove is made specifically to prevent the bowstring from sliding off at the time of the shot. Next, put the string on the upper shoulder of the bow.

Step 5

To do this, place the lower shoulder of the bow near the ankle of the left leg. Then stick your right leg between the string and the handle. Hold the bowstring with your left hand, at the same time bend your upper shoulder forward with your right hand until the ring of the bowstring can be put on the bent shoulder.

Step 6

Completion of work. At this point, place the gaiter on your forearm and the fingertip on your finger. After that, start shooting: put the arrow in the bowstring and stretch the bow until the bowstring touches the front surface of the chin.
