It is necessary

  • - thick paper;
  • - thin colored paper;
  • - the pencils;
  • - scissors;
  • - ruler;
  • - glue.

Instructions

Step 1

To make a pigeon, take a sheet of thick paper (cardboard, drawing paper, velvet paper, etc.). Draw on it the outline of the bird's body without wings and a tail, about 20 cm long. Draw with a simple pencil: if the line goes wrong, it can be erased with an eraser.

Step 2

Use scissors to cut the body along the outline. Attach the resulting stencil to thick paper, circle and cut out. You will receive two identical pigeon body blanks. Draw eyes and a beak on them from the outside with colored pencils.

Step 3

Cut off two strips of thin colored paper. One of them will go to the tail of the bird, the second - to the wings. The width of the first strip should correspond to the length of the tail of the paper pigeon (7-10 cm), the width of the second - twice the length of the wing (15-20 cm). The length of both stripes depends on how many folds you want in the tail and wings. The more folds there are, the fuller they will be.

Step 4

Using a ruler and a simple pencil, draw transverse lines on the strips in increments of 1, 5-2 cm. Fold along the markings with an accordion, bending the paper first in one direction and then in the other. Set the wing strip aside for now.

Step 5

Take the accordion that will represent the tail of the paper dove. Glue one edge and spread the other to form a fan.

Step 6

Spread glue on the inside of the halves of the bird's body. Place the glued edge of the tail between them. Connect the blanks, press firmly against each other and leave for a while for the glue to set.

Step 7

Mark the position of the wings on the torso. Make a slot in this place with sharp nail scissors and insert the accordion depicting wings into it. Straighten the edges.

Step 8

Thread a thin string or coarse string through the slit for hanging. Make some colorful paper doves and hang them from the chandelier - it will look very impressive.
