Buying a ready-made motorhome is an option for those who are used to living in comfort and paying for its creation. Those who like to place their own hands should get down to business and build a motorhome on their own.

Step 1
First, think about what you will use the motorhome for: for long outings on picnics, trips to the country, "short" trips around the country or sedentary life in a designated place. Perhaps you have another reason. Many factors will depend on this: the size of the motorhome, the heating system, the equipment of the restroom, and others.
Step 2
So, to get started, buy a bus, minibus or special trailer, which you later convert into a motorhome. The larger the vehicle you purchase, the more opportunities you will have for creating comfort.
Step 3
Draw a rough diagram of a motorhome, mark where you will have sleeping places, a kitchen corner, a restroom, a shower, or any other furniture. Start by freeing up space on the bus or trailer. If it has seats, then remove them.
Step 4
Solve the ventilation issue. This is because this is one of the most important things to consider when building a motorhome, especially if you plan to live in it permanently. Moreover, the internal ventilation of the walls is of no small importance - those places where the insulation will come into contact with the body. In such spaces, moisture can accumulate, settle on the walls, as a result of which corrosion and fungus can appear. If you make wooden walls and forget about ventilation, then in a couple of years you will have to completely redraw your home.
Step 5
Place cork and plywood on the floor. On the walls, first put plywood, then mineral wool, then penofol. Cover with plywood on top.
Step 6
Separate the bathroom from the living area with a partition. Install a small sink, shower cubicle, dry closet. A dry closet for a family of three will allow you to live offline for a whole month. Put on a pump to supply water. Install tanks: one for clean water, the other for waste water. Build mirrors and lockers in the bathroom.
Step 7
You can make the kitchen part of the main salon. Complete it with a refrigerator, sink and gas stove. Place cupboards for kitchen utensils. For a gas stove, you can use liquefied gas in a standard 11-liter bottle.
Step 8
It is better to do power supply in two ways: autonomous and stationary. The first will operate on an additional battery, which usually lasts for a day or a little more, and the stationary system can be connected to the central power grid.
Step 9
If desired, install a climate control unit to maintain the temperature regime, a microwave oven, a TV with an antenna, additional fuel tanks and other things that you see fit.
