The transition from analogue to digital television has become not free for many. For old TVs, I had to buy additional equipment - a set-top box. However, for some categories of citizens, the state will fully reimburse the cost of the set-top box, you just need to collect the necessary documents.

Since 2019, everyone began to switch to digital television and many faced the fact that they had to buy a set-top box on their own. The price of a digital set-top box varies from 800 rubles to 1600 rubles.

Within the framework of the law "On targeted social assistance" for low-income citizens it is possible to reimburse the cost of a set-top box for a TV. To do this, you need to collect a package of documents and write a statement.

At the moment, the cost is reimbursed through an application for the service: "Social support for low-income citizens (provision of targeted social assistance in the form of social benefits)". You can get such help from the DTiSR of your city by submitting documents

In order to apply for the so-called "targeted assistance" you need

  • identity documents of the applicant and his family members (passports, birth certificates, marriage / dissolution certificates);
  • income certificates of all family members registered at the applicant's address for three months preceding the month of application. If they are pensioners or non-working citizens - work books. Individual entrepreneurs provide a book of income and expenses for three months, the last declaration and a certificate of registration as an individual entrepreneur;
  • details of the account in the credit institution where the funds will be received.

When submitting documents, you should remember some features:

  • If the applicant or his family members are married, but the spouse is registered at a different address, then, according to the law, such people are one family, and therefore their income is joint.
  • Income per person should not exceed the subsistence level of your region. On the official website of the Department of Labor and Social Development of your region, you can always see the value of the subsistence minimum at a given time and "calculate" whether you are using the above service.
  • If family members are registered with the applicant who have not been living at this address for a long time, they are in the housing office. The act is signed by two of the neighbors and the manager of the housing office (or the chairman of the HOA).

A full set of documents is submitted to the UIA MFC and a statement is written. The application should include a simple phrase: "For the purchase of a digital set-top box."

The term for considering an application and making a decision does not exceed 20 calendar days. The receipt of funds to the account depends on the budget of the region and the availability of money at the time of application, in any case, the decision will indicate the exact amount and period of payment.
