Tectonic is a type of dance that requires the person who performs it to follow the rhythm perfectly. The music used for the soundtrack is usually distinguished by several rhythmic accents on which the dance is based. In order to learn how to dance tectonic, use a number of simple guidelines.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need to hone your ability to separate the rhythm section from the general soundtrack. To do this, use tracks that are appropriate for the performance of this dance. Listen to the entire tracks, trying to tap the main rhythm. After you learn how to do this with ease, try to spontaneously switch tracks while simultaneously changing the rhythm, adjusting it to the new track.
Step 2
Once you have honed your mastery of highlighting the main rhythm section, learn to highlight and play the secondary section. This is done as follows: if before that you reproduced the main rhythm, slapping with one palm on the table, then you will beat the secondary rhythm with the second hand. Complicate the task in the same way as in the first step - try switching tracks while rearranging the rhythm.
Step 3
To develop a base of movements and ligaments, use the videos, which you can find abundantly on youtube.com. First, try to reproduce the dance exactly as you see in the video, and after you have mastered more than a dozen videos, proceed to shaping your movements for a dance. The best option for assessing your progress and skill would be to upload a video of your dance to the same youtube. In case you are afraid of a negative assessment, you can not take off your face or use a cap with a visor pulled over your eyes.
Step 4
This technique will allow you to learn tectonic movements at an amateur level, in order to learn something more you will have to participate in group training. Find tectonics groups in your city, and then study them for a sufficiently high level. Of course, you can immediately sign up for such classes without doing workouts at home, but in this case it may take you some time to comprehend the basics and work out the rhythm. That is why home workouts are a must before practicing in a group.
