"Seven Forty" is a well-known Jewish song and an equally famous Jewish dance. However, few people know that initially this song "Seven Forty" was just Moldovan music, but during the Soviet Union it became the anthem of the working Jews of Odessa. The dance became popular long before the famous words of the song of the same name appeared. It is still performed at various feasts, including weddings.
It is necessary
- - video of the dance (if you have never seen how it is danced);
- - traditional dance costume;
- - headdress - kippah;
- - trousers, shirt and vest.
Instructions
Step 1
Watch the video from Seven Forty. The dance itself is extremely simple, but it is performed with some special sense of tact, which can be felt when watching the video "Seven Forty".
Step 2
Take a starting position. It consists only in the fact that you bend your elbows to the end. Moreover, this must be done so that the elbows are directed forward, and the palms are toward the shoulders. After that, squeeze your palms into a fist, and with your thumbs hook onto the armholes of the vest. That is why the vest is so essential for the Seven Forty dance. In other clothes, it will be difficult to fix the position of the hands, and they will constantly move as the body moves.
Step 3
Now you need to "catch" the rhythm of the dance. To do this, begin to gradually swing the body to the beat: forward - backward, gradually increasing the swinging amplitude. In this case, the hands should be in the starting position.
Step 4
And the last thing to do is to alternately raise your knees to the beat of the music. This movement resembles the movement of a person limping on one leg. You do not need to raise your knees high, you must, as it were, lean on one leg, and raise the other.
Step 5
Catch the rhythm with your body - and it will be very easy to make movements with your legs, as your knees themselves will begin to bend to the rhythmic music of the song "Seven Forty". Do not forget about the position of the hands - it remains unchanged. Now you can smile. Dance and enjoy!
