Anyone can draw beautifully - even if you have never studied at an art school and have never held paints and a brush in your hands, with due diligence and desire, you can learn to draw no worse than other contemporary artists, capturing your fantasies and images on paper. In order to learn how to draw, you need to constantly practice, without stopping the process of learning and improving your skills.
Instructions
Step 1
Self-study drawing is impossible without books on painting and drawing techniques. Find suitable books for yourself, explaining the drawing technique and the features of various painting materials in an accessible and detailed way. You will also need books on color theory, composition, anatomy, and many other sciences that will allow you to learn how to draw and feel the drawing.
Step 2
The learning outcomes will be more effective and faster if, in addition to self-education, you take lessons from a private drawing teacher. An experienced teacher will be able to correct your mistakes, indicate in which direction to move, and will help you to quickly and better assimilate a number of points that you will master for a much longer time on your own from books.
Step 3
Before you learn how to draw objects from your own imagination, learn how to draw from life. The more you practice drawing from nature, the faster your skill will improve. Draw as many manifestations of the world around you as possible - still lifes, landscapes, people and animals - all of which improve your drawing skill.
Step 4
In order to always be able to sketch your favorite composition, carry with you a sketch pad or sketchbook, as well as pencils of different hardness and an eraser. Sketch all the time, learn to make drawings three-dimensional by adding light and shadow, detail images, respecting perspective and proportion.
Step 5
Draw with a variety of materials used both in graphics and in painting - this will help you feel the difference between paints and graphic materials (pastels, sanguine, charcoal), and will help you understand which drawings are more suitable for certain materials.
Step 6
Try to sketch some objects from memory, adding some details from your own imagination. Look at works of art created by famous artists, draw inspiration from them and gradually create your own unique style.
