Ivory, or ivory - white with a slight yellowish tinge. The best drawing paper has this shade. Ivory is also suitable for furniture. Even an ordinary kitchen cabinet can look very elegant if it is tinted in ivory. Wallpaper or tiles of this color make the room light and airy, regardless of whether it is a living room or a bathroom. It is not always possible to find the right paint in the store, so sometimes you have to get the ivory color by mixing colors.

Instructions
Step 1
For ivory drawing paper, make a weak solution of potassium permanganate. It should be slightly pinkish. Too thick potassium permanganate will make the paper not yellowish, but brown. Using a cotton swab, moisten the sheet with water, then cover it with an even layer of potassium permanganate and dry. In this case, the reverse side of the sheet remains white.
Step 2
If you have a large photographic cuvette or other container that can hold a sheet of the desired size, you can tint the paper on both sides. It will look old. Pour the potassium permanganate solution into a container and drown the sheet so that the solution covers it completely. Hold for about five minutes, then remove and dry. It is not worth lowering several sheets at the same time in the cuvette, because they will be colored unevenly.
Step 3
If you need ivory paint on a small surface, buy white paint and yellow or beige. The desired color scheme can be selected in the same hardware store where you will buy paint. Pour the correct amount of paint into a separate container. Add some color and stir. If the color suits you, you can get to work. If it comes out too light, add some more color and stir again.
Step 4
For painting walls and any other large surfaces, it is best to go to a store that has a paint mixing machine. Such installations are available in all company stores, as well as in many large construction sites. There are also color samples on the stands. Choose white with a slightly yellowish tint. The seller will mix the paints for you in a special machine.
Step 5
Paint a small area of the surface first. If you get really ivory, paint further. If the intensity of the tone is not enough, go back to the store, ask to add color and mix again.
