Creating a video clip is a responsible process, in which not only technical components, good sound and high-quality shooting are important, but also the idea, script of the clip, without which it will not be interesting and memorable for viewers. Before you start shooting a video, you need to carefully think over and write its script, while observing some rules to create an interesting story.
Instructions
Step 1
First, form the concept of the future clip. It depends on many criteria - on the image of the actor or musician for whom the clip is being filmed, on what images are associated with it and associated and, accordingly, the clip should emphasize the style of the performer who plays the main role in it and develop his image, while remaining within the framework of his image and style.
Step 2
If the video is based on a musical composition, as is most often the case, you can work out the visual script of the clip based on an existing composition or create a video sequence independent of it.
Step 3
Both options have the right to exist, but if you want the audience to form some kind of connection between the musical and visual components, it would be better to think over this video sequence in accordance with the theme of the musical composition. The theme of the video should be tied to the theme of the song so that the video looks organic, reveals this topic and is remembered by any viewer.
Step 4
When working on the script, involve all your creative thoughts and ideas, and also do not forget that the work needs to be systematized. Start developing the script itself from a plan - create a project that contains all the data about what exactly will be contained in the clip.
Step 5
In preparing and planning the script for the future video, it is very important to think over the story with the characters, events and conflict, as well as the denouement and stage-by-stage plan, in which all episodes of the clip will be detailed.
Step 6
In the story, you will embody your idea - what you want to write about. Formulate the main thesis of this idea in a few sentences. Write down everything you think about - this will help you further develop the script and make it deeper. Determine what is the meaning of your story, what exactly you want to tell the audience, and what kind of reaction you expect from them: sympathy, laughter, regret, and so on.
Step 7
Describe the main situation around which the events of the script take place, and also think over and create the image of the main character and antihero - positive and negative characters will create the completed composition of the clip. Think over the character and hobbies of the positive hero, determine what he achieves in the video, describe his strengths and weaknesses, talents and shortcomings.
Step 8
Be sure to include in the script a certain conflict that caused the protagonist's feelings. Think about the ways in which the antihero will fight the positive hero, and also determine what is his strength and what is his weakness. Work out the main conflict of the scenario, describe the obstacles that the main character must overcome on the way to his goal.
Step 9
Think also about the images of all the other characters in the clip - they can be episodic, but they should be bright and characteristic. Divide the created story into a set, a main part with a climax, and an end part with a conflict resolution. Write down the end of the story in detail - it should be unexpected and bright.
