Step 1

Supply ventilation is able to solve the problem of lack of fresh air in the house, garage, cellar or bath, to ensure the removal of excess moisture. If you are going to make your own supply ventilation, first of all, you need to calculate the diameter of the ventilation hole. The diameter is calculated based on the formula - 15 mm per 1 square meter of the room. Thus, for a room with an area of 10 square meters, a ventilation opening of 150 mm in diameter is required.

Step 2

The inlet should be slightly above the floor level of the room. Outside the hole, a 30-40 cm high air duct is mounted. The top opening of the air duct should be protected from debris and insects with a net and a small canopy. Inside the room, a horizontal or vertical air duct with holes is also mounted from the inlet. Through it, fresh air will be distributed throughout the room.

Step 3

The air outlet should be located at the level of the ceiling on the opposite wall of the room from the air inlet. The air duct is led out 30-50 cm above the roof level and is also protected by a mesh and a canopy.

Step 4

When the air ducts are installed, a fan is installed in the inlet ventilation opening, which will direct the flow of outside air first into the filter, then into the air heater, and from it through the internal air ducts. The heater is necessary to heat the outside air to the required temperature during the cold season. It can be left unplugged during warmer months. Air-purifying filters require periodic replacement.

Step 5

For efficient operation of the exhaust outlet, a second fan is installed in it. The simplest supply and exhaust system is ready. According to this principle, more complex, branched structures can be mounted.
