When the singer hits the top notes, the vocal cords become more stretched than in a normal conversation. Stretched ligaments become thinner and can already vibrate at a higher frequency, which is ensured by singing in the upper register. Knowing this physiological mechanism of singing, you need to follow certain steps to learn how to hit high notes.
Instructions
Step 1
Study your voice. The range of each speaking person can be divided into two stages - speech and head. The speech range ends in falsetto - the highest notes available in this segment of the voice. Within the speech range, you can perform the overwhelming majority of songs of modern Russian pop music. The head voice is not given by nature, but develops through long vocal training. It is the developed head range that is the hallmark of a true vocalist. Determine on which notes your voice transitions from falsetto to the head register. This will mark the bottom line from which you will begin to storm the pinnacle of your vocal capabilities.
Step 2
Develop a high range with transitional notes. The difficulty in playing transitional notes is that the chords are stretched abruptly in the transition region to play a high note. There is an effect of "jumping" from one note to another. This jump cannot be completely avoided, since this is a feature of the physiological structure of the speech apparatus. But when the vocalist begins to develop the upper range precisely from such, the most difficult sections, then over time the transitions smooth out and become inaudible to the listener.
Step 3
Sing on a half smile, the higher the note, the wider the smile. When playing high notes, lip position is important. The position of the lips on a half smile helps to slightly stretch the walls of the larynx, which makes it easier to strike a high note.
