Before career

Films
The director's creative life was in full swing already during his training. Naumov helped his leader Igor Savchenko in the films "The Third Impact" and "Taras Shevchenko". During the filming of the film "Taras Shevchenko", the director's heart stopped, and the film was completed by Vladimir Naumov and his classmate Alexander Alov.
After graduating from the institute and receiving a director's education, Alexander Alov, Vladimir Naumov was transferred to Kiev at the A. Dovzhenko film studio. The drama "Pavel Korchagin" and the adventure film "Anxious Youth" were filmed here. These films brought great success, and in 1957 Naumov and Alov were invited to the Moscow film studio "Mosfilm". "Peace to the Incoming" - the first picture they shot at the Mosfilm studio, won a prize at several film festivals at once.
Of course, not all films were approved by the state. The film "Bad Joke" because of the satirical content was not allowed to be shown by the state. The people could see him only 20 years later.
After the death of his colleague Alexander Alov, Naumov continues to work alone. Having made a documentary film entitled "Alov", which he dedicated to his colleague, during the 1980-1990s he made three films - "Choice", "Law" and "Ten Years Without Correspondence".
