Glory came to Alexander Astashenk after winning the musical project "Star Factory" and participating in the group "Roots". After leaving the band, he devoted himself to an acting career. The path to a musical career
Alexander Astashenok was born on November 8, 1981 in the city of Orenburg. In the family, he was the first child, the second was his younger brother Dmitry.
As a child, Sasha was engaged in swimming, but his main passion was music. This was largely due to the atmosphere in the family. According to Alexander's recollections, one of the established traditions of his family was Russian-folk gatherings with a button accordion. Parents from an early age tried to instill in the boy a love for this folk musical instrument. Sasha himself did not like playing the button accordion very much, but nevertheless he entered a music school to study the button accordion.
At first, he even liked to interact with the button accordion. However, he soon got bored with the instrument, and the future musician dropped out of his music school. After that, he independently mastered the guitar, and then the keyboards. Sasha had an excellent ear for music by nature, so both the guitar and the keyboards were given to him without any problems.
After leaving school, Alexander Astashenok entered the local technical school, choosing an economic specialty at the insistence of his parents. After graduating, he did not start working in the profession he had received. Alexander decided to devote himself to music and set a goal to break through to the big stage. By this time, the young man already had his own musical rock group, which he founded with his brother Dmitry. Alexander not only played in it, but also wrote music and lyrics for songs himself. The guys periodically gave concerts and went on tour with their concert program.
"Star Factory" - a ticket to the world of show business
The turning point in the musical career of Alexander Astashenok and the real ticket to the big world of show business was the participation in the first part of the popular project "Star Factory", which was released on TV screens in 2002. He got into the show, thanks to his group, by the will of one accident.
Once in 1999, Alexander and his group were in Moscow at one of the festivals. Producer Igor Matvienko noticed talented guys. At the personal request of Matvienko, Alexander Astashenok contacted him, came to the studio, talked and sang a couple of songs. And already in 2002 Astashenok was invited to the "Star Factory". The guy became the winner of the project and one of the members of the "Roots" group.

Alexander finally settled in the capital and as part of "Roots" began to conquer the musical peak. In the Astashenok group he worked until 2010 and during this time wrote many songs for her repertoire.
Meeting with the future wife
Participation in the "Star Factory" not only contributed to the swing of the musical career of Alexander Astashenok. Thanks to the project and work as part of the "Roots" group, the young man met his soul mate, and now his wife, Elena Vengrzhinovskaya.
Elena Vengrzhinovskaya worked as the director of the musical group "Roots" (she worked in this position until 2006). At first, the relationship between Alexander and Elena was purely professional. In one of his interviews, Astashenok even admitted that at first there was hostility and antipathy between them. Vengrzhinovskaya often allowed herself to raise her voice to Alexander, and the latter did not like it terribly. Later, of course, he realized that this behavior of the director was dictated by the desire to maintain strict discipline and order in the team.
Everything changed during one of the tours. Alexander caught a severe cold, and during this period it was Elena who took care of him, surrounded him with attention and care. She captivated the heart of the musician, and soon a romance began between them.

During the period of courting the lady of the heart, Alexander Astashenok dedicated the song “All roads lead to you” to her. Astashenok and Vengrzhinovskaya hid their romantic relationship for a long time. Elena was 13 years older than Alexander, and many of those around him simply would not understand the choice of the artist. When the public became aware of their romance, and it was going to the wedding, someone even dissuaded Alexander from taking this step. Astashenk's parents were also noticeably worried. But the musician was really in love, and they got married with Elena in 2004.

Elena for Alexander is not only a faithful and loving wife, she is an understanding friend, a wonderful mother of their daughter Victoria. The spouses are happy together and have long ceased to react to the negative attitude of people who consider their marriage to be a misalliance. They get along well, despite the age difference, and feel on an equal footing. Lena is a very open and sociable person, easily winning over others.
Thanks to his wife, Alexander was able to take place as an artist. She supported all his undertakings, reacted with understanding to the musician's decision to leave the group "Roots". It happened in 2010, in the same year Astashenok graduated from the acting department of GITIS, after which he began to try himself as a film actor.
In 2010, rumors appeared in the press about the separation of Alexander Astashenka and Elena Vengrzhinovskaya, but the spouses made a denial.

Like her dad, she grows up as a creative child: she studies at a music school, sculpts from clay and does taekwondo. Parents do not put pressure on their daughter, support her interests and believe that the child needs to be raised by example.
