Step 1
The main condition for the germination of a mango is its ripeness and freshness. The drier the bone, the lower its chances of survival. After just a month of just lying at room temperature, they decrease so much that you should not even try to germinate a seed. If you come across a very ripe fruit, it may turn out that the stone in it will be slightly open, and between the two halves you will notice a sprout. Such a bone must be immediately planted in the ground. But if it is tightly closed, then help it slightly by pushing the flaps of the seed with the tip of a knife.

Mango is unpretentious to the soil, the main condition for its maintenance is sufficient watering and good drainage. Stagnant water will encourage mold growth on the root system and can kill even a relatively mature tree. Since the root of mango-grown mango is a long stem, it is better to take a tall pot for planting. Fill the bottom of the pot with the drainage mixture, fill it to the top with earth, moisten the soil well, stick the mango bone into it two-thirds with the sharp end down and start waiting.
Step 3
Mango is a tropical plant, it needs to create conditions close to natural, that is, warmth and high humidity. You can even take a large plastic bag, insert a pot, inflate the bag with air, and tie it tightly on top. Thus, you create a mini-climate for the plant that is ideal for it.
Step 4
A mango sprout can be born a week after planting, and after 4-5 weeks. After the ejection of the first leaf, the tree will grow quite actively, after a couple of years it can reach half a meter in height. Mango grown from a stone will begin to bear fruit at the age of 5-6 years. You can speed up this process and achieve more active fruiting by grafting ready-made cuttings onto the trunk.
Step 5
If you set out to induce the plant to bear fruit, slightly reduce the watering for the winter, and with the arrival of spring, begin to care for it with special care. In March-April, the tree will bloom, and by the middle of summer it will delight you with the first fruits.
