It will be interesting for both adults and children to take part in a performance based on a fairy tale. After all, it is a special pleasure to be a resident of a world that has always seemed magical. True, to do the same on stage, you will need to work hard. Script writing, rehearsals, production of scenery, costumes and props - these are the minimum tasks that need to be solved when creating a staging of a fairy tale.
Instructions
Step 1
Write a script for a fairy tale. To do this, you will need to rework the original text. Shorten it based on the age of your audience. Even the most interesting story will not keep the attention of the smallest spectators for a long time. Therefore, if possible, leave only the key points of the narrative. Some phrases may need to be simplified or broken down into shorter ones if the audience is toddlers.
Step 2
Find actors for your show. Both adults and children can participate in an amateur production. Consider the capabilities of each actor, trusting him with the role.
Step 3
After the artists have learned their roles, you can start rehearsing. Break the script down into short, meaningful chunks. Each of them needs to be worked on separately. Actors who do not participate in them may not come to rehearsal that day. Work each mise-en-scène with the characters. Explain to the hero how he should move every minute of his performance. Decide what everyone on the stage should do when they are "in the background", do not participate in the action. After working through these technical details, rehearse the pronunciation of monologues and dialogues, the manner of each actor's play.
Step 4
When all of the mise-en-scenes have been worked out, do some general rehearsals to go through the entire performance from start to finish.
Step 5
Prepare sets, costumes, and props. They should be designed in the same style and fit the “mood” of the fairy tale itself. In this case, it is not necessary to literally reproduce the objects and clothes described in it - you can interpret the original at your discretion. The main thing is that all the elements are thought out and combined with each other.
Step 6
Decorations can be cut out of cardboard and painted with gouache or acrylic. When doing this, take into account the distance at which the viewer will be. Decorations should be large enough and well-defined to be clearly visible from the audience. You can rent clothes for heroes in a carnival costume store or sew them yourself using patterns from the Internet.
