Instructions
Step 1
To create the bulk of the ball, use a sliver - this undyed wool is several times cheaper than colored yarn, and besides, it quickly and easily falls off. Tear off small strands from the skeleton and twist them into a ball. To prevent the tips from unfolding, fix them with a felting needle (one or two punctures are enough).
Step 2
When the ball is formed, start covering it with strands of colored wool, also securing them with a needle as needed. Try to avoid gaps and gaps. Lay the second layer of wool perpendicular to the previous one.
Step 3
Cover the table with plastic wrap. Pour hot water and soapy water into a spray bottle. Moisten the coat evenly.
Step 4
Put on gloves and wash your hands well. Take the ball and start rolling the workpiece easily between your palms. At this stage, it is absolutely impossible to squeeze the ball. Movements should be very delicate.
Step 5
Gradually, the ball will thicken and decrease in size. Now you can slightly increase the pressure and even roll the ball over the bubble wrap.
Step 6
When the ball is reduced by about a third and becomes elastic, it must be thoroughly rinsed in cool water and, without wringing, left to dry on a towel.
Step 7
The ball will dry in about 8 hours and will be ready to decorate. You can decorate the felt New Year's ball with embroidery with beads or beads, glue rhinestones and sparkles, sew on a beautiful braid, applique, or simply wrap the toy with shiny threads.
