Crystals are mesmerizing. It is difficult to imagine a more refined and perfect natural form. Snowflakes, quartz, beryl, chrysolite, amethyst … We can admire those created by nature, or we can get crystals at home.

- • Regular table salt.
- • Two glasses and a bowl for water.
- • Water. Better without impurities, you can take distilled.
- • A thread, thin wire or twig of any tree (no leaves).
- • Or a small crystal of salt that can be found in any pack.
Instructions
Step 1
First stage:
Pour salt into a glass and fill it with water. Place the glass in a bowl of warm water (50 ° C - 60 ° C). Stir the salt in a glass until it is completely dissolved. When the salt has dissolved, add more, stir the solution again. If the water in the bowl is cold, add a little hot to maintain the temperature. Add salt several times until it stops dissolving in water. That is, until a sediment appears at the bottom of the glass, which remains after stirring for three minutes. Pour the solution into a clean glass so that no sediment gets into it.
Step 2
Second phase:
If you want to grow a crystal of traditional shape, you need to throw a large grain of salt of your choice into the prepared solution. It is she who will become the basis for the growth of the crystal. To get an elongated shape, you need to lower the thread into the glass. It must be hung so that it does not touch the walls and bottom. To get a complex crystal, hang a small twig or thin wire on a thread.
Step 3
Stage three:
After a couple of days, you can see the growth of the crystal. You can let it grow as long as there is no contact with the glass wall. If you would like to enlarge your crystal further, prepare another larger container with saline solution and place it there.
