You don't have to buy a tent in a store. Handicraft lovers can make it themselves. Sewing a tent is not particularly difficult. The most important thing is then to bring it into proper shape so that the tent is waterproof and keeps its shape.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy a rubberized percale or tent canvas. The tent fabric is a linen fabric impregnated with a special compound and dyed green. Measure the desired length and width of the future tent.
Step 2
Make a pattern on paper. The tent should consist of a floor, a roof and four side pieces. Moreover, one part (front) will represent the entrance, therefore, it requires mounting a lightning.
Step 3
Transfer the pattern to the fabric and cut out. Sew all the pieces together and sew the zipper into one of the side pieces. Process the sections.
Step 4
The weight of the tent depends on the density of the fabric. The floor and back wall should be made of stronger fabrics, or multiple layers of used fabric can be used. Connect all panels with a double thick seam or linen so that the tent does not leak.
Step 5
Sew the ridge with braid, after washing it so that it does not shrink. Put a thin hemp rope between the skate and the braid, and attach the stretchers at the ends, tied in loops. Close the stitching point with a special patch.
Step 6
At the ends of the ridge, make holes for the poles on which your tent will be mounted. Secure the slots with metal caps or use coarse threads. In the back wall, if desired, reinforce the hole with a sleeve for ventilation of the tent. At the entrance, make a zip fastener that will protect the tent from moisture and dirt getting inside.
Step 7
The tent must be waterproof. To do this, place the cloth in a 40% solution of laundry soap. Let it soak properly. Dip the soaked cloth in a 20% copper sulfate solution. After the fabric is soaked, remove it from the solution and dry thoroughly.
