Seeing in the dark as during the day is a childhood dream of every boy. You see, but no one sees you! This is possible if there is a night vision device. But NVG can be made by hand, at home! To do this, you just need to remember school chemistry lessons.

It is necessary

  • - muffle or electric furnace;
  • - short focus lens;
  • - biconvex lens;
  • - substances and reagents from the school chemical laboratory.

Instructions

Step 1

Dip two glass plates in a mixture of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7). Dry after 4 hours.

Place tin chloride (SnCl2) in a porcelain bowl and place in a muffle furnace. In the absence of a muffle, you can use an electric furnace. Fix the glasses at a distance of 8-10 cm above the cup. Cover the cup with a metal plate.

When the temperature in the oven rises to 400-480 degrees, remove the metal plate. A very thin conductive coating soon forms on the glasses.

Step 2

Then, a photosemiconductor must be applied to one of the plates.

It is prepared by fusing equal amounts of a 3% solution of thio-carbomide Na4 C (S) NH2 and lead acetate (6% solution). Apply varnish on the side of the plate, free from the conductive coating, then vertically, using tweezers, dip it into the resulting solution.

Now, be sure to wear rubber gloves, pour a concentrated alkali solution into the vessel with the plate and stir very gently with a glass rod, without touching the plate.

After about 10 minutes, remove the plate and wash thoroughly in distilled water. Dry it.

Put a clean china cup back in the oven, now with silver, and place the plate to be treated over it. Repeat the process, only now raise the temperature to 900 degrees. Achieve a mirror-like film on the plate.

Step 3

Prepare the oven again to make the phosphor on the second plate. This time, put copper crystals and ZnS crystals in a porcelain cup in the proportion: ZnS - 100%, Cu (copper) - 10%. The process of circulation of copper vapors and their passage between crystals will take place in the furnace. Never grind the resulting crystals. The result should be a colorless powder.

Step 4

Now mix the zaponlak with the crystals. Pour the resulting mixture onto a plate with a layer of silver.

When the mixture is completely spread and a flat surface is formed, place the second plate over the varnish and squeeze lightly.

(Do not forget to solder the wires around the edges of the plates after applying the conductive coating).

Seal the received night vision device.

Step 5

Assemble the high voltage generator circuit.

Step 6

Assemble the device itself. The lens for it can be a lens from any short-focus camera; any biconvex lens can be used as an eyepiece.

After final assembly, check all connections again and switch on. On your NVG the transformer will quietly beep - it works.

The image may not appear immediately. Change the generator frequency, voltage level. Set the sensitivity to maximum.

And - use it.
