Fishing with a bottom tackle refers to sport fishing, since it requires the angler to be able to make long and clear casts, as well as to correctly pull the caught fish out of the water.
The bottom fishing rod is a non-melting tackle that is usually used for catching fish that live at great depths and at the bottom of water bodies. But you can also fish with a donkey in the seas, on sandy shoals and zagruzhennye areas of reservoirs.

Bottom line leads are necessary if large predatory fish are caught, as they bite the line during the bite. The leash can be 10 to 50 centimeters long, but the shorter the leash, the less tangling it will be. The leash should be about twice as thick as the line. It is better to connect it to the fishing line not with a knot, but with a swivel.
There are no special requirements for the size of the hooks. The main thing is that they are sharp. Any hooks can be used for donkey. They are chosen depending on the size of the fish that they plan to catch.
Using a bottom fishing rod
The bottom tackle is good for catching predatory fish that live at great depths, so it is unrealistic to catch it with float tackle. These are pike, pike perch, burbot, catfish. You can fish with a donkey from the shore, boat, bridge or pier.
Donkey can be used with equal success not only in standing water, but also in running water. Swampy and marshy banks are also not an obstacle to the use of this tackle. After all, it can be thrown, even if you are standing a few meters from the water.
