Every day our little schoolchildren have to carry with them a bunch of all sorts of necessary items: pens, pencils, felt-tip pens, rulers, and so on. Very often, children are very reluctant to use a pencil case and all these much-needed things are lying around in backpacks, and the guys have to rummage through them for a long time in search of a pencil or pen. To remedy the situation, try making a pencil case with your own hands and with your child. Such a thing will become a source of pride for your student. And school supplies will always be in order.
It is necessary
- - 4 pieces of cotton fabric;
- - non-woven fabric;
- - threads;
- - braid;
- - satin ribbons;
- - scissors;
- - ruler;
- - sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose together a bright cotton fabric that your child will love. You will need 2 larger and 2 smaller ones. The length of the larger part is equal to the height of the pencil plus a couple of centimeters for seam allowances, and the width depends on the number of pencils that will be stored in the pencil case. The width of the smaller rectangle is equal to the width of the larger patch, and the length is 3-4 cm less.
Step 2
To add strength to the structure, duplicate one larger and one smaller piece with adhesive interlining. To do this, cut out similar rectangles and glue them to the seamy side of the shreds with an iron.
Step 3
Fold the rectangles together with the right sides inward and sew along all the cuts at a distance of 1.5 cm from the edge, leaving 3-4 cm unsewn on one side. Turn the part out through the hole to the front side. tuck the allowances for the seams of the unsewn hole into the part. Straighten the seams and iron.
Step 4
Connect the large and small rectangles by aligning the 3 sides. Secure the pieces with tailor's pins and sew together on three sides. Then, stitch vertically, backing off as needed, to create compartments for pencils, pens, or rulers. sew a narrow, bright tape over the seam. On both sides of the resulting part, sew ties from braid or satin ribbons.
Step 5
Decorate your pencil case. Make an applique with your favorite cartoon character or embroider it with sequins, beads or braid. Your child will be happy to use such a pencil case and will certainly learn to keep their things in order.
Step 6
Insert pencils, markers and pens into the finished pencil case. Roll it up and tie it with ribbons.
