Easter is an ancient holiday, which is always accompanied by certain traditions and rituals, among which the most famous ritual is the coloring of eggs, which people give each other as a gift in honor of the holiday. Nevertheless, as a gift in honor of Easter, you can present not only an egg, but also an Easter nest, which has symbolized home comfort and well-being for people for a long time. In addition, the beautiful wicker nest can be used as a decoration for colored eggs.
Instructions
Step 1
You will need a pussy willow, dried herb or washcloth, as well as feathers, two types of neutral wire, and a pair of pliers. Bend the cross-shaped frame from the wire for the future nest, and then, take a thinner wire and form a rounded spiral frame from it, superimposing turns on each other.
Step 2
Weave willow branches into the frame, securing them with a thin gray or brown wire. Use different lengths of willow to make the nest look more beautiful and natural. Shape the nest so that it has a loose, round shape. Real nests never have a perfectly round shape, so do not try to repeat the shape of a circle - add an element of spontaneity and natural randomness to your craft.
Step 3
Tuck some ends of the willow branches inward and secure with wire, and leave the other ends outside, straightening them. Place the nest on a pre-prepared stand or on a beautiful plate, cover the bottom of the nest with grass and additionally braid it with a washcloth, creating volume.
Step 4
Decorate the nest with feathers and place the Easter eggs inside. Such a nest will be a great Easter gift for your friends and relatives - it's easy to make, and therefore you can create several holiday souvenirs for your loved ones at once. These nests can be used to decorate the home interior on the eve of the holiday by placing them on the table during the Easter meal.
