  • - picture;
  • - penofol;
  • - knife;
  • - scotch tape;
  • - gypsum fiber sheet;
  • - water;
  • - putty;
  • - putty knife;
  • - acrylic primer;
  • - gypsum powder;
  • - forms;
  • - brush;
  • - paints;
  • - colorless varnish.

Instructions

Step 1

Beginners can learn to sculpt and mold with pre-prepared stencils. Choose the drawing you need for the future bas-relief.

Step 2

Apply it on penofol, which must be fixed with tape on the table surface so that it does not move. Use a cutter to cut out the outline of the pattern.

Step 3

Take a gypsum fiber sheet (GVL) of the required size as a base. Saturate the surface with a primer. Put the resulting stencil from penofol on a piece of GVL.

Step 4

Dilute the putty with water and rub all the voids of the stencil with a spatula. Remove the stencil when the solution is completely dry. Otherwise, the edges of the bas-relief will be uneven.

Step 5

To make a bas-relief directly on the wall, mark the borders for the future painting with tape. Place the prepared stencil on the surface. Secure it to avoid shifting. Fill the voids with diluted putty.

Step 6

After the putty dries, remove the stencil. Sand the resulting bas-relief. Cover the surface with acrylic primer.

Step 7

Use a sponge to paint over the entire area of the molded image. Add shadows to emphasize the relief of the bas-relief. Decorate the wall bas-relief in an interior baguette.

Step 8

You can make a bas-relief from plaster. In the store you will find ready-made sets with powder for making mass and molds for casting. Read the instructions. Next, dilute the powder with warm water. Stir with a wooden stick. The mass should be free of lumps, bubbles.

Step 9

Spread the resulting mass on the bottom of the mold with a brush. Pour gypsum solution into it and let the mass harden. Gypsum will take the required shape in 3 hours. For further work with the bas-relief, it is better to wait 24 hours.

Step 10

After a day, remove the bas-relief from the mold. Paint with gouache or watercolors. After the paint has dried, cover the product with a colorless varnish.
