It is interesting that the art of folding paper figures itself was born in ancient China, came to Japan many years later - and remained in it forever. The most popular origami figurine is the crane. It is he who brings happiness on his light paper wings.

You will need good quality paper that is both strong and soft. This condition must be observed in order for the figure to keep its shape well on the one hand, and fold comfortably on the other
Instructions
Step 1
Fold a square piece of paper in half (in half) where the middle lines are in the figure and turn it over.
Step 2
Along two diagonal lines, fold the square again and flip it over again.
Step 3
Click on the sheet in its center, and, bending the paper along the marked lines, bring all four corners together.
Step 4
You will get the so-called "base square". Continuing to work, keep an eye on where the "blind corner" is located. It is easy to identify - it does not reveal itself.
Step 5
Place the base square so that the blind corner is at the top. Bend the two bottom sides towards the center.
Step 6
Fold the upper triangle down.
Step 7
After that, the bent sides need to be bent.
Step 8
Try to do the following steps carefully. Grasp the top layer of the form and pull it up, while bending it along the lines shown in the figure. If you did it right, then the two "valleys" will become "mountains."
Step 9
At this intermediate stage, the future crane will look like this. Repeat the above four steps for the back side of the base square.
Step 10
The basic shape of the crane is ready. If you did everything in accordance with the drawings, then you will see two legs at the bottom, and two wings at the top. A triangular hump will be visible between the wings.
Step 11
Lay the mold with the feet down and fold the lower sides towards the center vertical line, both front and back.
Step 12
Bend the legs slightly in different directions and lower them down.

Then bend them inward along the lines as shown in the figure.

After these manipulations, you have a neck and a tail, bend the head inward.
Step 15
Gently pull the wings in different directions and slightly flatten the hump of your back between the wings.
