Stigma, or sigma, is the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet, representing the number 200. In ancient Greek, the two names corresponded to different spellings of the letter, depending on the position in the word. From sigma came the letters of the Latin alphabet “S”, “Z” and the Cyrillic “C” and “Zelo” (obsolete, similar to the English “S” and reads like “Z”). You can insert the stigma in a text editor using a special tab.
