Instructions
Step 1
Get all the materials you need to work with. Place the sheet of paper horizontally or vertically depending on the idea of your drawing. You can draw from memory or make a copy of any image of Leopold the cat. So, with a simple pencil, make a light sketch, marking the head, body, legs of the cartoon hero.
Step 2
Now do a more detailed sketch. Start with the head - draw an oval (the cheeks of the cat), then a small circle just above the oval, but so that it intersects with the oval - the head. Then outline the thin neck of the hero. Next, sketch out the body - an elongated oval, thicker at the bottom. From it, mark the legs of the hero with ovals as well. Then sketch out the direction of Leopold's arms (paws). At the end of each hand, draw a small circle - the future palm. Add guidelines for the tail.
Step 3
Now proceed with the detailed drawing, starting at the top of the drawing. Draw triangular ears on the head. Next, mark the eyes of the cat - first with a half-oval outline around the eyes, then directly the eyes themselves and the pupils in them (look at the original drawing of the cat). Next, draw the "cheeks" of the hero - they are slightly disheveled on the sides. In the center, between the eyes, draw a nose with a droplet and a cat's face with a smile (copy from the original).
Step 4
Place a fluffy bow on the cat's thin neck; it is no more wide than the head. Draw the hands (paws) of the hero. From the palm circle, draw four fingers, one of which is the thumb. Mark the rolled up sleeves of the shirt on your hands - depict, as it were, a small rectangle with rounded corners. Then "put on" the pants on the legs, the bottom of which is also slightly rolled up. Put the flip-flops on the cat - almost his permanent shoes.
Step 5
Erase all auxiliary lines with the eraser. Draw the pupils, mustache, inner side of the ears, folds on clothes, and a fluffy tail. Prepare materials to work in color. Gouache, felt-tip pens are suitable for you. Try to apply the color evenly, without streaks, starting to work from above, gradually going down. Paint Leopold's body in red (orange), and yellow for the shirt. The bow and slippers are blue or lilac, the pants are dark purple.
