It is necessary

  • - pencil;
  • - eraser;
  • - paper;
  • - colored pencils, markers or paints.

Instructions

Step 1

If you want to depict a thermometer on a sheet of paper so that the scale is fully visible, then start with two horizontal stripes - they should run parallel. Make the lines equal to the length of the instrument, position the sensing element on the left. In principle, the thermometer can be turned in any other direction, depending on the wishes of the artist.

Step 2

Draw a conventional straight line in the center of the resulting shape - it will serve as a guide for the rice mercury scale. At the same time, do not press hard on the pencil - the strokes will need to be removed in the future, since they only set the direction.

Step 3

Divide the length of the thermometer into 9 sectors. Step back one part to the right and trace the scale to the other edge. Measure 2 zones on the left - the narrowed part of the thermometer will be located at this place. In the first zone from the edge, draw a metal tip and connect it to the body of the thermometer.

Step 4

Mark the boundaries of the white box on which you will draw the scale. Start placing the tick marks 1/3 from the left edge of the tool. Place the values 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 at an equal distance so that the numbers are broken by a stripe, for example, "3 | 7". Then draw in the intervals.

Step 5

Draw black mercury inside the scale. It is advisable that the thermometer produces the usual temperature, even if it is too high, so make the end of the strip at a distance between 36–39.

Step 6

Opposite the value 37 on the other side of the scale, put a red dot, and the number itself is the same color. Draw the “° C” sign under the indicator 42 - it should also be scarlet.

Step 7

Add shadows - they will allow the drawing to liven up, give it a natural look. Do not forget about the reflections of the rays and the play of light, because the thermometer is made of glass. Color the picture if necessary.
