In the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, facial scars were considered a sign of courage and nobility. They sought to get them in a fair fight, but, in addition, they turned to doctors in order to get a scar on the face surgically. Fortunately, today it is quite possible to just paint a scar on your face without hurting yourself.
Short-term wear scar
It is not difficult to draw such a scar, but it is not recommended to go to the beach or in rainy weather with it. Start by pouring a few tablespoons of flour with PVA glue and stir until they are doughy. Before applying this mass to your face, degrease the area of the skin where you intend to place the scar with alcohol or cologne.
Take a brush or toothbrush, scoop up a mixture of flour and glue and apply it to your face so that there is a small bump in the center. Moisten your fingers with water and smooth the edges of the future scar so that they are flush with the skin.
Using your fingertips, gently shape the bump of the scar to give it the desired shape and curve. Then mix red, brown and white watercolors in the right (depending on your skin color) proportions and apply them to the scar and the area of the skin around it. Then add a little red to the paint mixture to highlight the characteristic swelling, and gently apply them to the bump of the scar itself.
After that, let the paints dry and gently treat the scar with a small amount of foundation to avoid shine and smooth the transition from the colored mixture to the skin of the face. As a result, you will end up with an impressive scar that will last at least 3 hours.
Most modern cosmetics are moisture resistant, and their use as a dye for a scar prevents it from getting wet and rubbing off.
Scar for long-term wear
Scars that can be worn for a long time look less impressive, but they have a more realistic look. They guarantee you better treatment from women and girls, who are much more fond of neat scars than awful lumpy scars.
The best and easiest option is to apply a line of the alleged scar with a red chemical pencil. After that, work out its individual sections more carefully so that it resembles not a thin scratch, but a cut.
Using a thin brush, cover the entire length of the scar with PVA glue. If you want the scar to last as long as possible and not be afraid of any environmental influences, cover it with transparent superglue instead of PVA.
To tighten the skin and simulate the effect of a scar, eyelid glue or a special scars used by professional make-up artists are much better than ordinary glue.
Before applying the superglue, pinch the skin around the scar with your fingers, then apply the superglue to it. Hold it this way for about a minute to allow the glue to set. Once dry, the glue will tighten your skin like a real scar.
Use a fine paintbrush to paint the edges of the scar with red blush, or lightly brush over it with red lipstick. Then, gently smudge the lipstick or blush to create the appearance of redness and swelling around the scar. On top of it all, go over with a little foundation to remove the shine of the glue and make the transitions between the colors of the scar less vibrant.
