For any romantic holiday, we strive to purchase scented candles. It is necessary that they look beautiful, exude a pleasant aroma and burn evenly. Try making an orange candle yourself.
It is necessary
- - orange;
- - knife;
- - saucer;
- - lighter or matches;
- - aromatic sunflower oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a whole orange and cut the rind so that the fruit is divided into two equal halves. Try to cut neatly to avoid touching the orange flesh.
Step 2
Acting very carefully, remove the skin from one half of the fruit so as not to damage the other.
Step 3
Remove all of the orange pulp from the fruit, leaving the stem in place. In our future candle, it will act as a wick. The half, where the skin remains and the pulp is present, should not be damaged when you remove the inside of the orange. Remember this and proceed with extreme caution.
Step 4
You now have an empty orange half with a stem. Pour in aromatic sunflower oil. Don't forget to pour oil over the wick itself so that it is well saturated. If it is too tall, then it can be cut off. The length of the wick is the burning time of the candle. It does not need to be too high, but you should not leave it near the bottom of the orange either.
Step 5
Be aware that the wick will not light immediately. But it will burn with an even flame until all the oil has burned out.
