A bright and simple pillow can be knitted from the remains of multi-colored yarn or a single-color one. It consists of squares, similar to the product in the popular patchwork style. The pillow is easy and simple to knit, it will work even for beginners.

It is necessary

Yarn of the same or different colors, a pair of knitting needles, crochet hook or needle, tape measure, scissors, pillow filler

Instructions

Step 1

The pillow consists of squares "from corner to corner", that is, knitting a square is completed by making a corner. For the first square, you need to dial an odd number of loops, knit a row and in the next one knit three central loops together (the same number of loops should remain on the sides of the deduction). For example, for one element, 31 loops were scored and 15, 16, 17 were tied together, 14 loops should remain at the edges from the deduction. Knit squares with garter or hosiery, just in the second case, the squares will be smooth.

Make deductions in every second row, knit all loops according to the pattern in the purl rows. The number of loops on the knitting needle will gradually decrease in the penultimate row, only three loops will remain, in the last row knit them with one loop.

The first square is the corner of the pillow. All squares are staggered, use yarn of only one color in one row.

Step 2

Cast on loops along the edge of the square, their number is equal to ½ of the total number of loops of the square. On the knitting needle, dial additional loops so that the number of loops on the knitting needle is equal to the number of loops of the first row of the square. For example, cast on 15 loops from the side of the square and 16 extra (31 loops in total). Tie a square and cast on the other side of the first square.

Step 3

Knit all squares in one direction, their number should gradually increase. Add squares to the edges of the outermost squares in each row. The size of the square depends on the thickness of the knitting needles and yarn, the sample is made with knitting needles number 3 from Alize yarn (250 m in 100 gr.), The sample size is 42x42 cm.

The central diagonal of the pillow consists of 6 squares, along the edges of the exact same number. That is, when knitting a pillow, it is important to add squares so that their number on the sides and in the central diagonal is the same.

Step 4

In the second part of the pillow part, the number of squares should decrease. You do not need to knit the outermost squares, they need to be done only in the center, between the main ones. The edges of the part should be even, therefore, for the extreme squares, you need to dial one more loop (dial it from the upper corner of the extreme square of the previous row). After two rows, knit the extra loop together with the next one on the knitting needle.

The number of squares is gradually decreasing, at the end of the work it will be necessary to knit only one square.

Step 5

Steam off the parts, connect them from the seamy side (you can sew and crochet). Fasten and hide the ends of the threads from the seamy side so that the canvas does not accidentally bloom.

It is not necessary to sew one corner, turn out the product and fill it with padding polyester (cotton wool, foam rubber, etc.). Carefully sew up the hole with a blind stitch, the pillow is ready.
