Step 1
To knit the most ordinary hat, you will need circular knitting needles (2 pairs) and threads. Yarn for a hat can be of a wide variety of colors and different textures (natural, synthetic or mixed). When choosing them, keep in mind that the product will be double, therefore, the yarn must be taken with a margin. For the same reason, the number of loops in the set will also be doubled. This model is convenient in that it does not require additional operations in the form of stitching parts of the cap.
Step 2
Cast on 160 stitches on the circular knitting needles and knit the first row of the product according to the scheme * 1 front loop, 1 loop is removed while working on additional circular knitting needles *. After all, removed through one, the loops will be transferred to other knitting needles, you get a blank, divided into 2 parts.
Step 3
On the main knitting needles, knit the hat with the front stitch about 50 rows. If a lapel is supposed to have a hat, then, depending on its width, another 12-20 rows can be added. Then start decreasing the loops. To do this, divide the total number of loops into 4 parts, as a result, each part will consist of 20 loops. For visual separation and convenience, tie a different color of thread between the parts. Decrease the loops through one row, knitting at the beginning and at the end of each part, 2 loops at once. This will give an even and beautiful reduction. When 16 loops remain on the crown (4 in each segment), collect them on a thread and tighten, resulting in a "star".
Step 4
Now start knitting the second part of the cap, which is on the other (additional) knitting needles. Do all the operations in the same way. The result is a hat, the double model of which will perfectly protect from the cold, even if it is knitted from a fairly thin yarn.
Step 5
Such a headdress may not be decorated with anything, however, if necessary, it is permissible to use various elements. Tie a few roses from yarn in contrasting colors or matching tones and sew to the hat. You can also decorate the product with colored knitted spirals of various lengths or cords folded in the form of flowers. You can put a satin ribbon around the edge of the hat.
