You can paint the canvas with anything, because all types of canvas paint very well. The main way to create a certain shade is to immerse the fabric in the solution.

Take a container, pour in the desired solution. For a reddish or pink color, immerse the canvas in a 1: 1 mixture of pomegranate juice and red wine. Use tea to color the fabric in all shades of brown. Its different brands will give original color shades. Using hotter tea will result in a richer color, less hot tea - a lighter one.

To get a yellow canvas, take fresh buckthorn bark, for a bright yellow color use
birch leaves. Wormwood will dye the fabric a straw shade. For blue coloring, use blackberries or sage. For coloring in shades of green, take sorrel leaves, juniper berries.
Step 4
After preparing the solution, immerse the cloth in it for any time, depending on the result you want to get. Rinse the canvas in a separate container with clean, cold water. Hang gently, straighten all edges and dry. Iron the fabric.
Step 5
When creating a spot effect on the canvas, use the method of painting with a brush. Brew a strong black tea and apply it to the fabric with a brush. Better take a thick, wide brush. Use a paintbrush to create stripes on the canvas.
Step 6
For more contrasting stains, place a wrinkled cotton cloth under the canvas. Some liquid will be absorbed into it and after drying it will appear on the surface. Dry the dyed canvas with a hair dryer. Leave a few tea leaves on the fabric, under which the canvas will touch up a little more.
Step 7
To create a pattern in the form of stripes, triangles, leaves, squares, glue sections of the canvas with a reel adhesive plaster.
Step 8
In addition to dyeing with tea, a method of dyeing coffee is used. Brew a strong granular coffee. Dilute a few drops of vanilla essence in it. You can add cinnamon. Dip the canvas into it.
Step 9
Preheat the oven. Place several layers of paper towels on a baking sheet and spread the canvas over them. Straighten the fabric evenly, then it will be evenly dyed. To create a marble effect, crumple the canvas a little, or make folds. A darker color will be obtained at the break point. Leave in the oven for 25 minutes. Take out the painted canvas and rub it a little with sandpaper, you get the effect of antiquity.
