Instructions
Step 1
No summer is complete without flying fabrics. Let a chiffon skirt appear in your wardrobe and take the leading position among your favorite outfits. You will need a piece of fabric about a meter long and one and a half to two meters wide. Use light flowing fabrics: chiffon, silk, organza, lace, cotton sewing.
Step 2
Measure yourself with a measuring tape, you need hips and the length of the finished product. Spread the fabric out on a flat surface. On the wrong side of the fabric, use a ruler and crayons to mark the details of the skirt. The width of the first is equal to the volume of your hips plus 20 cm, and the length will be 30 cm. The second and third parts will differ only in width (each is 20 cm wider than the previous one).
Step 3
Take the first detail - this is the base of the skirt, its upper part. Stitch the side seam and overlock the top seam. Now bend the finished edge of the skirt by 1 centimeter, sew the topstitching and insert the elastic. The skirt should fit snugly on the hips.
Step 4
Sew the side seam on the second part of the skirt. Gather the fabric along the top edge so that the width matches the bottom of the main skirt. That is, sweep the second part, the volume of which is 130 centimeters, by hand and plant so that it is equal to 110 centimeters (this is the width of the base of the skirt). Sew both parts carefully, machine the seam with a zigzag seam or any overlock stitch.
Step 5
Do the work with the third composite part by analogy with the previous paragraph.
Step 6
Try on a skirt. Pins up at a length that is comfortable for you to avoid stepping on the fabric. Wide models are usually worn with flat sandals or flip-flops. Process the folded part, fold it and stitch 3 mm from the bottom edge. Do not forget to overlock the side seam of the finished skirt on the overlock.
Step 7
Iron the fabric gently through a fine cloth to avoid damage.
Step 8
You can decorate the product with small beads, beads, bugles and decorative flowers. Use a matching reinforced thread and a fine needle. If you decorate a skirt with glue rhinestones, be careful, not all types of thin fabric will withstand the high temperature of the iron when attaching jewelry.
