When working with images, it is often necessary to search for a similar image of a larger size or the Internet site on which this image was published. Using a photo saved on a computer as a sample, or the address of an image uploaded to the Internet, you can find a suitable image using special Internet services.
It is necessary
- - browser;
- - image file or image address.
Instructions
Step 1
To search for an image using a sample saved on your computer, open your browser to www.tineye.com. Using the Browse button located to the right of the Upload your image field, select the file you want to use as a template for your search. Load the picture using the "Open" button.
Step 2
The search patterns that TinEye can work with must be saved as png,.
Step 3
You can use the address of a photo posted on the website as a template for your search. To get this address, just click on the picture and select the "Image Properties" item from the context menu. Paste the copied address into the Enter image address field and click on the Search button.
Step 4
Using this service, you can find pictures that differ from the used sample in size and color. The search results contain images with added frames, captions, small details.
Step 5
To compare the found picture with the sample, click on the Compare inscription, which can be seen under each of the found images. By clicking on the Switch button in the window that opens, you will see a sample. Using this button again will take you back to the search result.
Step 6
Google also provides the ability to use a file downloaded from a computer as a template for a search. Go to the page of this search engine and select the "Pictures" option. On the right side of the search bar, a button "Search by image" will appear. However, for users of the Opera browser this button may not be available.
Step 7
By clicking on the "Search by image" button, you will be able to download a sample from your computer by applying the "Upload file" option. If the basis for the search is a picture found on the Internet, insert its address into the search box. Users who prefer Firefox or Chrome browsers can drag the sample from the explorer window to the search bar using the mouse.
Step 8
Unlike TinEye, Google displays images among the search results that resemble the sample, but are not copies of it. To see these pictures, just apply the "Similar" option, which can be seen on the left side of the search results page.
